TROM (CH) “Liber Mud” / Dark Hardcore Metal
With this last record (recorded in 1999), the mystic-core act went full into a thick sound and an aggressive style, resulting in an hardcore-driven, progressive riff-based obscure metal record becoming more and more neurotic, dark and mystic by every track. Although mainly hardcore, the evocative and trance-alike trademark of Trom is not lost at all: tracks such as “Soif” and “Salvatore” are capable of goosebumps.

COUNTLESS SKIES (UK) “New Dawn” / Melodic Death Metal
Named after Be’lakor’s song ‘Countless Skies’, the band burst onto the modern metal scene with their debut self-titled EP in late 2014. Blending progressive and darkly intense music influenced by their Scandinavian melodeath heroes, the EP began a flood of shows up and down the UK. After winning the Bedfordshire ‘Metal to the Masses’ competition, COUNTLESS SKIES played a triumphant gig on the ‘New Blood’ stage at the UK’s No1 independent metal festival, Bloodstock Open Air in Summer 2015.

With “Khàsma”, the brasilian duo Khazad Dûm reaches its peak by today. Black Metal sections with relevant influences from NWOBHM and old school Doom Metal mixes with acoustic and piano parts, resulting in a record rich of epicness and pathos, floating between rage and introspection.
